Stan Holm Joins Midwest Regional

Stan V. Holm, CHFP, FACHE has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Midwest Regional Medical Center.  Most recently, Holm served as the Chief Executive Officer at Pasco Regional Medical Center, a 120-bed facility in Dade City, Florida.  During his three year tenure, the facility received consecutive top five-star ratings for the quality of its general surgery by HealthGrades.

Page Vaughan, previous CEO of Midwest Regional, has been promoted to the position of Market Chief Executive Officer.  He will remain responsible for the overall operations of the medical center and related enterprises, including new business development.

Stan joined Health Management Associates (HMA), the parent company for both Midwest Regional and Pasco Regional, in January 2003 as the Assistant Administrator for Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He then went on to serve as Chief Operating Officer for Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Florida. Prior to joining HMA, he worked for Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas for eight years.

During his time in Florida, Stan served as the President-elect of the Dade City Rotary Club.  He also served as a board member for the east Pasco Habitat for Humanity and Dade City Downtown Main Street.

Originally from Broken Arrow, Stan has strong roots in the Sooner state.  He holds a master’s degree in health administration and a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Oklahoma.  He is board-certified in healthcare management and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.   Stan’s responsibilities will focus on the daily operations of Midwest Regional and he will oversee the expansion project of two new floors which are slated to open mid-July. Additionally, he will continue to build on the joint venture operation that is available to physicians on the medical staff.  Pasco Regional was the first HMA joint venture facility in the state of Florida, so Stan brings three years of experience in working together with physicians in that capacity.

“It is important to listen and respond to our physicians’ needs,” states Holm.  “Aligning our interests with the interests of the physicians will continue being key for our success in serving our patients and advancing our mission.”

Stan, his wife, Susan, and their twenty-one month old daughter, Hannah, are looking forward to moving to Oklahoma and being near family.
