We Know Hearts Kickoff

On Friday, June 4, Midwest Regional Medical Center’s heart employees hosted an all-day event to celebrate the hospital’s unmatched, 21-year legacy of providing superior cardiac care to the community of eastern Oklahoma County and surrounding regions.   The group helped kick-off the launch of the hospital’s newest initiative – the We Know Hearts campaign, featuring employees, physicians and patients – to celebrate and promote Midwest Regional’s heart program.    Led by Shelley Meyers, RN, Midwest employees recently formed a grassroots group known as the Coronary Crew to rally around the hospital’s heart program

“Our cardiology department has years of experience and is one of the most recognized programs at Midwest. With the launch of this new initiative, we are eager to celebrate our 21-year legacy of being the preferred provider of cardiac care to the community,” says Shelley Meyers.

In May, Midwest Regional Medical Center announced plans to strengthen its highly recognized heart services program by designating the newly-constructed 7th floor to cardiology. Part of a $25 million project to enhance care at Midwest Regional, the floor will open in August.
