Outpatient care for non-healing or problematic wounds
Midwest Wound Care provides experienced professionals who are specially trained in innovative procedures to care for non-healing or problematic wounds. Midwest Wound Care is operated on an outpatient basis by appointment only.
Hyperbaric Medicine
Many patients treated for problematic wounds may be candidates for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a treatment in which the patient breathes 100 percent oxygen inside a pressurized chamber for short periods of time. This therapy can be beneficial for treating wounds that are difficult to heal. The hyperbaric department has expanded to include three hyperbaric chambers.
Certifications
Midwest Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has received full accreditation with the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). There are over 600 wound care and hyperbaric centers nationally, and Midwest was the 48th center, first in Oklahoma, to participate in the voluntary program.
V.A.C. Advantage Program - utilizing negative pressure therapy for accelerated wound healing.
All of the Midwest Wound Care hyperbaric technologists are nationally certified in Hyperbaric Medicine.
