MIDWEST CITY, OK (April 27, 2012 by Sheila Winn) – Midwest Regional Medical Center announced today it has entered into a clinical affiliation with the Surgery Center of Midwest City, a multi-specialty facility that has been open since 1984. Midwest Regional, now the majority owner of the high-tech surgery center, will use it as an additional facility option for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
“Our partnership with the Surgery Center of Midwest City is another example of how we are expanding our footprint in the region,” said Stan Holm, CEO of Midwest Regional Medical Center. “The harmony created with our physician partners in this venture will allow us to achieve our goal of better serving our patients.”
The affiliation between the two health care providers comes on the heels of the Health Management, Inc., the parent company of Midwest Regional, announcement of a joint venture with five Integris Health hospitals in Oklahoma earlier this month in an effort to broaden the network of services offered to Oklahoma residents.
The Surgery Center of Midwest City is currently being used by approximately 25 local physicians. The facility is located at 8121 National Ave., Suite 108, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73110.
