MIDWEST CITY, OK (October 26, 2012) – The Renaissance Run Community Fund is now accepting grant applications from eastern Oklahoma County organizations. The profits from the Renaissance Run 5K event benefit a tax-exempt fund established to award grants for community projects or programs in eastern Oklahoma County.
The Renaissance Run Community Fund promotes community projects that contribute to the well-being of others and enrich the lives of those it serves. Support may be given to those projects or individuals who demonstrate they have identified an existing or potential need within the community, and have developed a reasonable and cost-effective method for addressing that need. Application categories are: economic development, community, safety, youth and family, education, housing, health, Midwest City revitalization.
In the past, grants have been awarded to Choctaw Senior Citizen Center, Project Concern, Shepherds of Love Ministries, Midwest City YMCA, and the Girl Scout program at Crutcho Elementary School.
